Cozmo Tv For Me And My Daughter

My sons birthday celebration will be held 2 weeks from now and these past few days I've been very busy for the preparations for the party. So many things must be done and prepared. I just finished ordering souvenirs (which is a personalized keychain), I've made reservations for the catering services and just tonight I already ordered a cake. I am also done doing the invitations and tarpaulin designs.

On the other hand, my daughter Symone missed her classes today. She is sick. She has a fever and cough. I allowed her to watch tv and play her favorite online games this afternoon. I recently learned about the AMY POEHLER COZMO TV and I embedded it on my facebook page. I showed my daughter the Cozmo Tv and we watched shows from it's different channel. Amy Poehler's Cozmo Tv offers a lot of interesting shows for kids and even grown ups can enjoy it too. My daughter and I watched SMART GIRLS AT THE PARTY and honestly we enjoyed it. Take a peek and learn more about what I am talking about. Watch the video below and enjoy....

Busy Days

I've been very busy these past days. My son will be turning one this Monday, the 26th of January. I am busy preparing for his birthday celebration which will be held on the 8th of next month. It's 2 weeks after his actual birthday and I know it is kinda late. You know why? actually no party venues were available and we had a hard time looking for a nice venue for his little get together party.

I've been a hands on mommy when it comes to preparing stuff for my kids and since this will be my son's first event I see to it that from the little details up to the biggest I am into it.

Last night I slept way to late. I was busy doing his tarpaulin designs and invitation in photoshop. I finished ordering souvenirs also. Last week hubby and I went on a shopping at a nearest toy store for my son's lootbags.

This weekend we will have the final tasting of the foods and I am looking forward to it! hehehe!

I really wanted to finish all the details (ordering, reserving and stuffs) this week so that we are not rushing during the event itself.

I just hope all the plans will push through..... I am so excited and I am also tired putting all the things together.

Microwaving Water

Received this email from my sister Ella and I would like to share it to those who didn't know this information.

It's starting to get cold and if you make tea or anything that requires you to "nuke" water this might be of importance. I've done this quite a few times but never knew this……………………..

Microwaving Water!

A 26-year old man decided to have a cup of coffee. He took a cup of water and put it in the microwave to heat it up (something that he had done numerous times before). I am not sure how long he set the timer for, but he wanted to bring the water to a boil. When the timer shut the oven off, he removed the cup from the oven. As he looked into the cup, he noted that the water was not boiling, but suddenly the water in the cup 'blew up' into his face. The cup remained intact until he threw it out of his hand, but all the water had flown out into his face due to the build up of energy. His whole face is blistered and he has 1st and 2nd degree burns to his face which may leave scarring.

He also may have lost partial sight in his left eye. While at the hospital, the doctor who was attending to him stated that this is a fairly common occurrence and water (al one) should never be heated in a microwave oven. If water is heated in this manner, something should be placed in the cup to diffuse the energy such as a wooden stir stick, tea bag, etc.., (nothing metal).

General Electric's Response:

Thanks for contacting us, I will be happy to assist you. The e-mail that you received is correct. Microwaved water and other liquids do not always bubble when they reach the boiling point. They can actually get superheated and not bubble at all. The superheated liquid will bubble up out of the cup when it is moved or when something like a spoon or tea bag is put into it.

To prevent this from happening and causing injury, do not heat any liquid for more than two minutes per cup. After heating, let the cup stand in the microwave for thirty seconds! before moving it or adding anything into it.

Here is what our local science teacher had to say on the matter: 'Thanks for the microwave warning. I have seen this happen before. It is caused by a phenomenon known as super heating. It can occur anytime water is heated and will particularly occur if the vessel that the water is heated in is new, or when heating a small amount of water (less than half a cup).

What happens is that the water heats faster than the vapor bubbles can form. If the cup is very new then it is unlikely to have small surface scratches inside it that provide a place for the bubbles to form. As the bubbles cannot form and release some of the heat has built up, the liquid does not boil, and the liquid continues to heat up well past its boiling point.

What then usually happens is that the liquid is bumped or jarred, which is just enough of a shock to cause the bubbles to rapidly form and expel the hot liquid. The rapid formation of bubbles is also why a carbonated beverage spews when opened after having been shaken.'

Contact Lenses Online

I have been wearing contact lenses for years now and I love to wear them in times that eye glasses is not convenient for me. I used to buy disposable lenses at our nearest optical shop and sometimes the lenses for my eye grade is not available and I have to wait for a month the least. Too annoying and time consuming waiting for the lenses for an indefinite time.

Since I am now doing some online shopping, I learned that there were sites that sells very affordable contact lenses. AC Lens offers a wide variety of contact lenses. They also offer contact lenses from different and famous brands. Placing an order with Ac Lens is very convenient and guaranteed secured. Buying lenses from them means that you are covered from their 30 day return policy and when your order reaches $89 the shipping will be automatically free. I am now really considering buying from them since I lost my eyeglasses a couple of weeks ago and since Woman's World Magazine recently recommended LensAlert in their "Products We Love" section, I would definitely love to buy one.

AC Lens has this new product called LensAlert. This product is very user friendly. This is perfect for everybody and anybody who wears contact lenses. This device reminds you when to change your contact lens and contact lens case. So for me this is a must have for people who has contact lenses.
You can check out the AC Lens blog to learn more about the AC Lens and their products.

Action All Stars For My Daughter

My daughter loves to play online games and since she is in kindergarten school already I am only allowing her to play her computer games every weekend. She loves role playing and sports games and since she is playing online I wanted to monitor her games and check on her every time she is playing because I want her to play games which is suited for her age. I don't want her to play online games that is not safe for her young age. And since I have a one year old son also I cannot monitor my daughter as often as I wanted.

It's a good thing that I learned about the I tried it out myself before letting my daughter play it. I can attest that this game is safe for kids. Kids can chat with different players but their chat is being monitored by the site's moderators. is fun to play. Kids can choose what to play. They can choose from football, baseball and basketball.

I've made my daughter her own account and I let her choose her own avatar and we both decided and agreed to name it ELAIZAH. Elaizah is my daughter's name and she was so happy seeing her name together with the avatar that she did.

Aside from being a free online community, us, parents can be assured that our kids will have fun while having a safe environment on the net.

My Prince Will Be One Soon

A couple more weeks from now and my son is turning 1 yr old already. How time flies... I can still remember how I gave birth to him.

I am now busy planning for the big event on my son's life. I really don't know how and where to start. From the party theme to the give aways I see to it that I personally take care of it. I am now busy browsing from sites to sites about birthday ideas and birthday planning.

I just hope that everything will all be put into places and all the plans will push through.

To all my friends out there, mind giving me any ideas for my son's birthday?

10 Hours More

I'm kinda emotional right now. I am blogging and trying to forget what I am feeling right now. My sister Ella will be going back to Dubai tomorrow evening. I am sad with the thought of it but I am left with no choice but to let go. She will be back November this year and I am back in counting months and days till she'll be back again. I know that my children will miss their Tita Wow very much but I know in their hearts, that the time spent with her are always remembered and treasured.

I feel like crying right now... I will miss my sister so much but I know she will be back in no time. I'll miss playing our old time favorite Tetris game with her. I'll miss trying to beat her every night. I'll miss scolding her when she wakes my children. I'll miss seeing her everyday.....All the times spent with her is truly memorable and I will surely miss every minute that we spent together.

Ate will miss you Ella! I love you! and take good care of yourself.... Pray always!

My Little Boy Is Sick

We just got home from the hospital. My little boy is sick. He has a slight fever and diarrhea. I am so worried since this is only his second time to get sick. He has to undergo different test to rule out dengue. I pity my child so much. After all the tests the doctor told us that my Liam has viral infection and severe diarrhea. He was given antibiotics and paracetamol.

I just hope he will be well soon. Please pray for my child.
