Happy talkie, talkie ... Visual Talking

"What the heck are you saying?" Ever heard that before? Maybe Visual Talking can help. It's like the Twitter of PowerPoint presentations. Combine words and pictures to communicate -- it's that simple.

In your user question please consider asking something about a current event and how/if VT would apply, e.g., ?Should the Olympic athletes use VT to help communicate?? or ?Now that Britney has her bod back, should we send her VT messages to get her to quit smoking?? or ?Should Homeland security include VT as part of their interagency communications package??

Eat healthier, not cheaper

By just about any measure, global food prices rose significantly over the past two years. It's not your imagination. Eating right is costly. In fact, you may pay more than $30 more per day on food if you make healthy choices.

Staying Well...

The Art of Staying Well

If you don’t want to be ill…Speak Your Feelings!

Emotions and feelings that are hidden, repressed, end in illnesses as gastritis, ulcer, lumbar pains, spinal problem. With time, the repression of feelings degenerates to cancer. Then we go to a confidante, to share our intimacy, our “secrets”, our errors! The dialogue, the speech, the word, is a powerful remedy and an excellent therapy!

If you don’t want to be ill…Make Decisions!

If you don’t want to be ill…Find Solutions!

Negative people do not find solutions and they enlarge problems. They prefer lamentation, gossip, pessimism. It is better to light a match than to regret the darkness. A bee is small but produces one of the sweetest things that exist. We are what we think! The negative thought generates negative energy that is transformed to illness.

If you don’t want to be ill…Don’t live by appearances!

Who hides reality, pretends, poses and always wants to give the impression of being well. He wants to be seen as perfect, easy-going, etc. but is accumulating tons of weight. A bronze statue with feet of clay! There is nothing worse for the health than to live on appearances and facades. These are people with a lot of varnish and little root. Their destiny is the pharmacy, hospital and pain.

If you don’t want to be ill…Accept!

The refusal of acceptance and the absence of self-esteem make us alienate ourselves. Being at one with ourselves is the core of a healthy life. They who do not accept this becomes envious, jealous, imitators, ultra competitive, destructive. Be accepted, accept that you are accepted, accept the criticism. It is wisdom, good sense and therapy.

If you don’t want to be ill…Do Not Live Life Sad!

Good humor, laughter, rest, happiness. These replenish health and bring long life. The happy person has the gift to improve the environment wherever they live. “Good humor saves us from the hands of the doctor!” Happiness is health and therapy!

Awards

Got this two lovely award from my two friends....

This Arte y Pico Award is from RIA

and this one from a good friend Mommy Elvz

Thanks so much for these awards!!! Hugs to you!

Phelps is a Tiger

Olympic legend Michael Phelps will appear on boxes of the Kellogg's Frosted Flakes and Corn Flakes ... what happened to Wheaties and going to Disneyland?

How Time Flies....

I was so bored this afternoon and cannot think of anything to do. I just thought of browsing some old photos on my laptop instead of boring myself to death. I saw pictures that I somewhat forgot already. There were pictures of my little girl Symone during her toddler years and what struck me the most were the pictures that hubby took when I gave birth last January. It reminds me of pain and also it reminds me of how fulfilled I am seeing my child for the very first time. It is wonderful to see his face again when he was just a couple of minutes old. How time really flies... My daughter Symone is already in pre-school and my little boy Liam is doing some extraordinary stunts which amuses us everyday. I cannot help but wonder how blessed I am having this little boy in my life along with her big sister Symone.

I cherish pictures so much that I wanted to make it a slideshow or a photoshow.... a slideshow with all the styles, music and effects. I searched for a software or tool for doing a slideshow until I came across this site that offers a free slideshow maker with all the add ons that I wanted. Roxio online is a very useful tool in making those old photos come to life. Try checking out their site and try doing photoshows in an instant for FREE... yup! this is totally free. You can even burn your finished photoshow on a cd and share them with your friends. Try it out!!!

Heres the pictures that I was talking about... my pictures before and after delivering my son.

Let's see what popular applications, devices, services, etc. you use.

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

Talk it up!

We wave our arms, we inflect our tone, we reach out, we open our eyes, we lean in ... we do a lot of things to get our message across ... and then when we send a text message we abbreviate -- "OMG PAW KYFC" ... does our real message, our real intent, really get across to our online friends?

They, (whomever 'They' are) say that a picture speaks a thousand words ... hmmmm, maybe if we could combine text and pics, our messages would be more complete ... and a lot more fun.

Is that what a movie producer does, takes a text message and adds pics? How often have you read a book, then seen a movie and come out of the movie saying "that's exactly what the author meant" ... or "not exactly" ... the written word is powerful in the hands of powerful writers, but even that is left open to our interpretation.

Liam Update

As what I have said on my last post about my son Liam, We have no choice but to bring him at the emergency room. He still has fever and cough and now we just found out that there were rashes all over his body. I panicked and told hubby to bring our son in the hospital. I'm afraid of dengue and other related illnesses.

So, We bought Liam at the hospital... he was checked and later found out that my son has ROSEOLA. Nothing serious according to the doctor. They gave us Paracetamol for the fever and Virlix for the roseola.

I have less knowledge with roseola.... roseola is also called "TIGDAS HANGIN" here in our country.... I searched the net and saw this article about ROSEOLA....

Roseola (also known as sixth disease, exanthem subitum, and roseola infantum) is a viral illness in young children, most commonly affecting those between the ages of 6 months and 2 years. It is typically marked by several days of high fever, followed by a distinctive rash just as the fever breaks.

Two common and closely related viruses can cause roseola: human herpesvirus (HHV) type 6 and possibly type 7. These two viruses belong to the same family as the better-known herpes simplex viruses (HSV), but HHV-6 and HHV-7 do not cause the cold sores and genital herpes infections that HSV can cause.

Click HERE to learn more about Roseola

I hope that my son will be ok in no time.... for all those who prayed for my so....THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

What's Happening - August?

We each get bombarded with over 5,000 marketing messages each day ... to which do we pay attention? Our interest in major events and news determines where marketers go to place their messages.

Worried Mommy

All our plans for today were all cancelled. I was so worried because my 6 month old son, Liam is down with fever, cough and flu. It's his first time to catch fever. He is so cranky and he can't sleep. Giving him his doses of medicines is not that hard but seeing him in this situation makes me so worried and bothered. If he has fever till tomorrow we have to go to his pediatrician to have him checked.

I hope and pray that he will be up and well again the soonest time. I can't bear seeing my child in pain. It's a good thing that hubby is here... he's always been my strength everytime my kids are sick.

BERTELE... all about stadiums

Euro 2008, or 2008 UEFA European Football Championship, was an event that kept millions of people around the world stick for hours on TV watching the same channel with attention, passion and hope. Some people had the privilege to watch these matches live as they were played in the stadiums in Austria and Switzerland. Watching a match live in a stadium can be hilarious especially when you are seated with 30 000 fans who all support your team. You rejoice together at every goal for your team, and every ball the keeper blocks. Yet one thing we take for granted, is the effort behind making this joyful setting. How would we have felt if the seats on which we sat for more than 3 hours were uncomfortable, and brittle? Would it not have been a miserable experience, and something we would never forget about the day? "...the only thing I hated about the match where the stadium seats...they were suxs!"you might have ended up saying. In this light, I take a moment to thank the organizers of the games, the engineers and constructors of the stadiums, and Bertele' the manufacturer of seats for their joint efforts to provide us with a pleasant spectator experience.

A Must for your Business

Large_rectangle

I had a real hard time this morning connecting to the internet. I've been using my internet service provider for quite sometime now but I was never satisfied with their services. I called their customer support so many times but I was always kept on hold. I have no other choice but to go directly to their office and have my connection fixed. It was a waste of time and energy! If only my ISP knew about the NTRsupport, things will be more easier for customers who needs help with their products and services. Using NTRsupport makes complicated things easier for the customers and the employees as well. Time and effort will not be wasted. It'll be a very helpful tip to all the business owner to check NTRsupport free trial. It'll be a big plus in their business and their customers will be very satisfied. Business owner should always be concerned with their customers and employees because that is what business is all about. Go and try it for yourself.....
