The Caffeine Click Test

It's Sunday once again so it means it family time for us. Nothing much really happened today. Asusual we went for a visit at my grandparent's place with the kids. Symone had a real fun time playing with her lolas there while my 2 month old Liam prefers to sleep the whole day.

We went at Southmall for Symone's graduation dress and shoes. It's kinda tiring browsing diffrent dresses and shoes but it's all worth it coz I found one blue dress that was placed on sale. The original price was 1,200 pesos and it went down to 450 pesos only.

Symone's graduation will be on the 2nd day of April and we are all excited.

Anyway, it's way almost midnight but before I go to bed I took this test....

Liam's 2nd Month

My son Liam is already 2 months old today! How time flies... It seems like yesterday when I gave birth to him.

this is Liam when he was just a couple of minutes old only

and here he is, now that he is already 2 months.

Looking at my children's pictures made me realize that in no time they will be grown ups. It's sad to think that one day I have to let them go and have their own lives but I know that no matter what happens they will always be my very own little angels. Hubby and I are very thankful that God blessed us with two very beautiful kids who made our lives more than just perfect.

I LOVE YOU SYMONE AND LIAM!!!!

How can I love so intensely?

How can I love so intensely someone I barely know?
Someone who has said not a word and shared not a thought.
Someone who has yet to see the page of the calendar turn ...
I look for a hint of a smile as I hold you close ...
Through the night, I check your cradle. Looking for the rising and falling of your chest and straining to hear your soft breaths ...
How can I love so intensely someone I barely know?
I didn't know it was possible -- until there was you.....

my little miracle, my little mystery.

The 'I Love You More' Game

A little girl teaches her mom a thing or two about love.

By Christie A. Hansen

Reprinted with permission from Chicken Soup for the Soul Celebrates Mothers.

Meet my daughter, Amanda. Four years old and a fountain of knowledge. The other day she was reciting a list of all the facts and tidbits she has memorized. One plus one is two. If you mix yellow paint with blue you get green. Penguins can't fly....On and on she went.

Finally, she finished. "Mom," she said, looking very smug, "I know everything."
I let on as if I believed her, but chuckled to myself thinking of all the "this and that's" that a four-year-old child couldn't possibly know. Comparing her four years to my almost three decades of life experiences, I felt sure I knew what she knew and then some.
Within a week, I'd learn I was wrong.
It all began as we were standing in front of the bathroom mirror, me fixing Amanda's fine, blonde hair. I was putting in the final elastic of a spunky pair of pony tails and finished with, "I love you, Amanda."
"And I love you," she replied.
"Oh, yeah," I taunted, "well, I love you more."
Her eyes lit up as she recognized the cue for the start of another "I love you more" match. "Nuh-uh," she laughed, "I love you the most."
"I love you bigger than a volcano!" I countered--a favorite family phrase in these battles of love.
"But, Mom, I love you from here to China"--a country she's learning about thanks to our new neighbors up the street.
We volleyed back and forth a few favorite lines. "I love you more than peanut butter"...Well, I love you more than television"..."I even love you more than bubble gum."
It was my turn again, and I made the move that usually brings victory. "Too bad, chickadee. I love you bigger than the universe!" On this day, however, Amanda was not going to give up. I could see she was thinking.
"Mom," she said in a quiet voice, "I love you more than myself."
I stopped. Dumbfounded. Overwhelmed by her sincerity.
Here I thought that I knew more than she did. I thought I knew at least everything that she knew. But I didn't know this. My four-year-old daughter knows more about love than her twenty-eight-year-old mom. And somehow she loves me more than herself.

*this story made my eyes water and mist.... it was very touching.... being a mom is definitely priceless.... im just so PROUD being one....

and to quote Katherine Hadley...

The decision to have a child is to accept that your heart will forever walk about outside of your body.

And now I have my heart walking outside my body. Risky... having your heart so out in the open... but every night before I turn off the lights, I look at my heart sleeping one last time every day... and if i'm lucky, I get to watch him yawn and move about a little... then he gives a little, sleepy smile.. and I know that having my heart out here in the world is all worth the risk.

THE IMPORTANCE OF MOM AND DAD

THE IMPORTANCE OF MOM AND DAD

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

The most important issue in the life of a teenager is not what is taking place in the world out there. It’s peer pressure. What do my friends think of me? That’s been the accepted norm for quite a long time, and only a moron would underestimate the force of peer pressure today when it comes to how teens dress, act, and think. But has peer pressure been a kind of cop-out, getting more blame than it deserves?

A 1997 study, one of the most comprehensive ones ever done, contended that parents, not other teenagers, are actually the most significant force in the lives of teenagers. The National Longitudinal Study on Adolescent Health involved some 90,000 children. Three factors emerged from this seminal study.

These three factors are universal. They are just as true today as when the study was done. They help combat risky behaviors and attitudes in teens, which include emotional distress, suicidal thoughts and actions, violence, the use of alcohol, tobacco or marijuana, and sexual activity, including pregnancy. And what are those three factors?

Factor #1: Family cohesiveness. This involves a feeling of belonging, of being cared for, the realization that a youngster is wanted, loved, and a valued member of the family. This, of course, means that parents have to be there for their children. The myth of enough quality time compensating for long periods of absence just doesn’t work. Family cohesiveness means a youngster grows up with a sense of belonging, and all the child care workers and all the government programs combined cannot replace the importance of a mom and a dad being there.

Factor #2: Parental expectations. Parental expectations become prophesies of future behavior. When children know that parents believe in them and encourage them to avoid drugs, alcohol, and promiscuity, and parents themselves model their expectations, teens are far more apt to avoid what parents condemn.

This, of course, implies that parents have definite ideas of right and wrong and what is acceptable and unacceptable. Children who are raised with moral and spiritual values are far more apt to incorporate them into their lives than kids who grow up with an “anything goes because nobody is there anyway” attitude.

Factor #3: Parental involvement in the life of a child. The hard fact remains that when a parent is not present in a home after school, at dinner and at bedtime something important is missing, and something else—TV, a cell phone, another teenager—will become a significant influence.

There you have it. Research has done it again. They have certified the obvious. The Bible summarized the report almost 3000 years ago when it said, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6). In one sentence, the wise man summarized what was true then, is true today, and will be true in the next generation: Parents are still the most important force in the life of a child. But there is a disclaimer. When parents are not there, they can’t offset the influence of their peers, which accounts for gangs, violence, and thirteen-year-olds having babies.

When parents live out the expectations they have for their children, kids have a benchmark to shoot for. No, it doesn’t mean they will always fly right. Some of us took more than a few bruises until we got things straightened out, but they learn right from wrong, what is moral and what is immoral, what is acceptable and what will not be tolerated, and in so doing we pass the baton of decency and a sense of values to our children, who will someday take our places in the world.
Being the parent of a teenager can be tremendously frustrating. But you only have a few years to pack their suitcase then they’re gone. So, do a good job of it. May our conduct measure up to what we think it is.

Resource reading: Proverbs 22.

New Breast Cancer Infos

WARN ALL FEMALES E.G. WIVES, DAUGHTERS, GIRL FRIENDS
ETC..

Bottled water in your car.....very dangerous,
woman!!!!

This is how Sheryl Crow got breast cancer. She was on
the Ellen show and said this same exact thing. This
has been identified as the most common cause of the
high levels in breast cancer, especially in Australia
.

A friend whose mother was recently diagnosed with
breast cancer. The Doctor told her: women should not
drink bottled water that has been left in a car.

The doctor said that the heat and the plastic of the
bottle have certain chemicals that can lead to breast
cancer. So please be careful and do not drink bottled
water that has been left in a car, and, pass this on
to all the women in your life. This information is the
kind we need to know and be aware and just might save
us!!!! The heat causes toxins from the plastic to leak
into the water and they have found these toxins in
breast tissue. Use a stainless steel Canteen or a
glass bottle when you can!!!

Let us take good care of our health!!!

I hope this info will be helpful......

have to sleep now..... GOODNIGHT!

The most beautiful rainbow

"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that
wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You
will have your heart broken probably more than once and
it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so
remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight
with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things
an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast,
and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too
many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never
been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset
is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be
fraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never
begin."

Liam's first malling

Yesterday was the last day of SM Southmall's 3 day sale.
We went there to see the baby items that were placed on sale.
This is the first time that we went there with our two kids. It was happy though...
I bought 3 Chicco 12oz bottles for only 250 each (from 350 original price), assorted cartoon DVD's for only 150 each (from 300 original price)
Sadly Hubby and I didnt bought anything for ourselves. Hubby planned to buy a new Digital Camera if it is up on sale but it is not so we ended up buying just the things for our kids.

Liam is so amazed with the lights and the people. Symone is so excited pushing Liam's stroller.

Though hubby and I we're super tired it was super exciting and happy to be with our two kids strolling at the mall for the very first time.
